Menus on iPad!

    Hi

    I have tweaked the media queries so that the top navbar menu now shows on an iPad. The problem is that the down folding menu dosen’t stay down. If I press the menu it quickly fold down but then quickly close. This mean I can’t choose any menu down in the menu hierarchy.

    Is there any css that makes the menu stay down folded when I use an iPad?

    After a lot of googling I have come to the conclusion that Twenty Fourteen Menus dosen’t work on iPad…. To me this it’s very odd! A modern theme like Twenty Fourteen and the latest version of wordpress should deal with this!

    I realy hope I’m wrong and that someone out there have a solution. Please help!

    They do look odd, but not as bad in landscape mode.

    However, I have a lot of pages (inside parents) therefore when clicking on the menu icon (3 lines at top), the whole hierarchy shows up which fills the entire screen!

    It’s not the iphone menu (3 lines) that I mean. But I agree, they are intrusive!

    The thing is! I have tweaked the media queries so the standard nav bar menu shows on the ipad. The one that show on a standard computer screen! But for some reason they dosen’t support touch screens like on the ipad! I really don’t understand it becouse there are tons of websites out there with menus similar looking that support touch screens! I mean, its 2014 and the ipad and many other similar devices has been on the market for a while!

    So please! Somebody having a fix for this???? Please!

    I’m now using a commercial plugin drop down menu! Works great on ipad and other touch screen devices!

    Can you tell me what media query/ CSS you changed so that the accordion navigation does not show on some resolutions? I ideally only want the accordion version to show on very very small resolutions..

    Not really a query! I’ve changed the viewport meta in the header! <meta name=”viewport” content=”initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=3.0, width=device-width”>

    I’m using UberMenu! Not perfect, but much better than the standard version in twenty Fourteen!
