    Hello support team,

Couple of issues. Even when the customer completes the first name field on the checkout page, sometimes the email that goes out after that cart is abandoned, displays no first name or the wrong first name. (See video for further explanation there)

Other issue is random. Some images display, and some do not, in the same email. (Again, see email for more explanation and a sample email where that occurs).

Appreciate any help you can provide.

Additional information: The video I made with the client about this issue that shows the two testing carts for Ryan and Francesca. https://www.screencast.com/t/OiDqpC7eztcJ

    Hello Cenay,

Thank you for the detailed explanation of the issue you are facing.

First of all, I abandoned a cart on the site you mentioned and here is what I received:

The subject seems to have been changed so there was no name in the subject but I did get the first name as it should have been. Here is the screenshot for the same: https://prnt.sc/lm44cs
Please note that I had entered the First Name before entering email and that’s the reason my first name is also getting captured.

Secondly, the images also appeared fine in the email I received. Here is a screenshot for the same: https://prnt.sc/lm4517
To debug the issue, I used the same products and in the same sequence as mentioned in the video. It just looks like a case where the mail client refused to recognize the image address.

In the video, you mentioned about a place to check how the emails will look like when they are sent. But unfortunately, currently there is no provision for this.

The First Name issue that you mentioned haven’t been encountered by any of our customers yet but we would want some more data to replicate this issue and provide a full proof solution.

Generally WooCommerce session will manage the data needed for our plugin and that is unique per user visiting the site and adding products to cart.

Will it be possible to share the exact steps if they remember for us to replicate the same issue? Also, can you please check if there is anything in the error logs related to the plugin?

Thank you for the detailed explanation and we would want to resolve this as soon as possible if it gets encountered again.

Client got a little upset with me at the time it was taking to resolve, and just had me remove the first name and use a more generic “hey there” type of address.

I got the images working (on her end) by having her add in the permissions to display them from that email address.

I agree it’s probably a localized event (to her MAC computer most likely)

    Hi,

Can you give us the permission to check the first name issue on your site? If yes, then kindly drop us an email on “support at tychesoftwares dot freshdesk dot com”? So, we can communicate further and check this issue.

I will be also trying to replicate this issue at our end and let you know if it gets replicated.

Yes, I agree with you that sometimes products image will be displayed when you will give the permission to display the image from that email address. It?is showing due to email client setting.??

For removing the link, you need to change the setting of your email client.?For Gmail account, you can change the setting from Account > Setting > General > Image option. You can check the radio button of “Always display external images” to show an image.

    Please check the screenshot:?https://www.screencast.com/t/c9AO0XpDCANW

Most Probably it should work. Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Hello, I am also having the same issue with follow up emails containing the wrong customer first name in the subject. The default template hasn’t been adjusted. I did however notice that the first name it was pulling through was of the previous entry. This could be quite a large data privacy issue if entries and being mixed.

    Hello guys,

Great plugin but we are also encountering this same issue… ??

One of our employees tried to make a dummy order for testing purposes to confirm one of our coupons was working alright, and left the cart abandoned when saw coupon applied correctly.

48 hours later (the time email is set to be sent, that’s ok) this employee received on her inbox abandoned cart reminder email BUT with subject line and body of email including name for the next customer that abandoned a cart on the site.

    1) Client A leaves cart abandoned
    2) Client B leaves cart abandoned 45 minutes later
    3) 48 hours later client A receives email including name of client B

Email templates have not been modified, & the way name of client was included on the email was using-> “{{customer.firstname}}”

Anything else we can provide to help you pinpoint the issue, just let us know please.

    Kindest regards.
