• I’m setting up an auto-email with Mailchimp to send out my blog posts. I have a merge tag that displays the link title of my most recent post; however, underneath the title, I’d like to include the WordPress post’s excerpt.

What merge tag can I use to automatically place the excerpt in a Mailchimp mailer?

  • Hey there @bricklayerpayne

Thanks for your post. Generating blog content with a merge tag is a bit beyond the scope of what the List Subscribe Plugin offers. That said, I might recommend checking out MailChimp’s Knowledge Base or contacting their support team for some further insight into what you’re specifically trying to accomplish.

I did take a minute to browse the MailChimp Knowledge Base and found an article that may be worth looking over to see if it fits the bill: https://kb.mailchimp.com/merge-tags/rss-merge-tags

If you’re still looking for solutions, I’d recommend reaching out to MailChimp Support directly. And always, if you have any questions about the List Subscribe Plugin, feel free to let us know.

    Thanks,
    Malachite
