I have two separate WordPress websites. They are on the same host. The one that is a membership site is a sub-domain with its own name and separate address (i.e., it functions as a standalone). I would like to merge the sub-domain into the other website.

I believe I understand the mechanics of doing so, but am concerned regarding any issues that might arise with respect to PMP.

As I understand it, if I move the posts and pages over I should be able to install PMP on to the main website, set it up with the proper permissions and go forward, although am uncertain of the issues that may result from this.

One question involves the paying members. What will happen to the automatic Paypal charges? Do I have to ask them to re-register for the new site?

Another issue involves the permalinks. Currently, the PMP site uses the “numeric” classification for posts and pages. The site to which it will be moved uses the “day and time” classification. My plan is to change all to the “day and time.” Will that be an issue?

What other issues may arise in this transfer with respect to PMP?

Thanks for any advice you might provide and thanks for a wonderful membership plug-in. I have tried other membership plug-ins and yours works best for me.

My two websites are https://www.economicnoise.com and the other https://www.iconoclastinvesting.com. The latter is the one that will be moved to the former.

Here is some information RE importing members:
    https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2012/06/how-to-mass-import-members-into-wordpresspmpro/

When you move members with active subscriptions at the gateway (in this case PayPal), you can to copy over or add in dummy rows in the pmpro_membership_orders table with the subscription_transaction_id set to the PayPal subscription id. This is so the IPN handler will know what subscription PayPal is talking about when it hits your IPN handler (update your IPN URL) and also so PMPro knows what subscription to cancel when users cancel or upgrade.

RE your permalinks, that shouldn’t be a problem.

    Hi montypelerin,

Because Jason has answered your question, I’m going to close this thread.
