Merging two sites

    I have over the years built two separate WP sites for my band on https://badmathematics.com. Originally there was only one simple HTML site. As the years went on and we got into using WP I made new subdomain at https://blog.badmathematics.com, they are both on the same server, but each is now a separate installation of Wp in separate directories and sub-directories.
    But since the recent updates and improvements I made to the two sites, it just seems crazy to have them as two separate URLs. So here’s my problem. It will not be hard to move all the image files and so on into the main domain directory. Where I have a problem is how to merge the two DBs into one.
    What is the safest and least technically demanding way for me to do this. The best scenario would be if I could make a clean install of WP and link it to clean new DB and just import the relevant parts.
