Message at Checkout concerning confidentiality

    Hi,

    Since the last update of the WooCommerce plugin, there is a message showing at the Checkout page (right area) saying (in French because my website is in French):
    “Vos données personnelles seront utilisées pour le traitement de votre commande, vous accompagner au cours de votre visite du site web, et pour d’autres raisons décrites dans notre politique de confidentialité.”

    I supposed that it’s due to GDPR.
    Is it absolutely mandatory to have this message showing up at the Checkout page?
    Is it possible to remove this message? How?
    If not, is it possible to change the text of this message?

    Only if you’re selling to customers in the EU ??

    Is it possible to remove this message? How?

    Yes, it’s possible to hide that message. You can hide that section by making sure that a page is not assigned under WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy > Privacy Page.

    is it possible to change the text of this message?

    The message content can be changed by tweaking the settings found under WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy
