Messages from Postie – is everythiing set up right

    I have checked my set up and it’s showing the below:

    Warning! Postie requires that imap be enabled if you are using IMAP, IMAP-SSL or POP3-SSL.
    Invalid sender: xxxxxx Not adding email!
    A copy of the message has been forwarded to the administrator.
    Ignoring email – not authorized.

    Is this correct or does it mean that something hasn’t been set up. I received the error message saying unauthorised post attempt although it is appearing in my drafts folder. Is that what’s supposed to happen?

    Sounds like you have a couple of different issues going on.

    First the IMAP extension does not seem to be enabled. This is a PHP extension. You may need to talk to your hosting company to turn this on.

    Second the “from” email address does not match a wordpress user nor is that email listed in the allowed addresses setting.
