Messages won't auto send

I really want MailPoet to work for me, because I like it otherwise and am ready to pull the trigger on purchasing, save one issue.

I want to use it to notify subscribers of new content. I have an auto newsletter set up to send an email if there is new content. It is to check for new content every day at noon. I know the mail function works, because I am able to send myself a test email manually, and am able to send out other newsletters manually. However, the auto newsletter NEVER sends. ??

What could be wrong here? That is really my sole reason for wanting to purchase it.
