  • Dragging in filezilla is fine – it can only copy not move. It’s possible you dragged something and then put it back in the wrong place. Look at the default folder/file structure for your WP version (download it if you don’t have it) and make sure everything matches in your installation. 3 folders and the exact group of files must be there in the right place.
Or back everything up and replace the wp-admin, wp-includes folders (NOT wp-content) and the group of files except wp-config.php.

now i get the famous Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at ald1306611541641.db.10605761.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

and i have checked that all my settings are correct but still can’t connect to my website i even tried restoring the old wp-config.php but still the same problem
