    Hello,

The messenger button prevents visitors from accessing menu items with links on the right side of the browser window when the window is narrow. If widened, the conflict disappears. Since I cannot deactivate messenger alone in the plug-in, the whole plug-in is now de-activated. Also, the automatic upload of products to FB shop is unusable to me. I need to be able to select product categories that I WISH to upload, not the other way around! So, right now, just problems for me!

Looking forward to update that will solve these issues. Thanks.

  • Hi @taiwanteacrafts,

Thanks for reaching out about Facebook for WooCommerce! I’m sorry to hear about these issues that you’ve been having. We’re working hard to make continuous improvements to the plugin’s functionality and stability.

Regarding the Messenger issue, there is an option to disable Messenger within the plugin settings, under WooCommerce > Facebook > Messenger (see screenshot). This will allow you to use the plugin without having Messenger on your site.

However, the issue that you’re describing with Messenger covering up parts of the menu sounds like it may be possible to resolve with some CSS. If you’d like to give this a shot, you can target the Messenger box with this:

    .fb_dialog, .fb_dialog_advanced, .fb_customer_chat_bubble_animated_no_badge, .fb_customer_chat_bubble_pop_in

Regarding selecting categories to include, I went ahead and logged an internal feature request for this with our team. Although I cannot guarantee if/when this might be added to the plugin, our products team does take these requests into consideration when planning future development efforts.

I’m sorry that I don’t have some more straightforward solutions for you here! Is this helpful at all, and is there anything else that I can help with for now?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
