Hi guys. Need some help here. Have a few questions regarding the lay-out of Jetpack’s Related Posts module, below every post.

    1. As you can see in this image (https://i.imgur.com/21dlN56.png) there is very little white space between the thumbs and the post title. I’ve tried to solve this by changing some code in a child functions.php but that didn’t work. Maybe because I couldn’t find the right code on the internets, maybe because a child functions.php simply doesn’t work on my theme (Flato free theme). Where can I give the title some breathing white space? Is there a CSS somewhere which can be altered easy of is this something more difficult?

    2. Because of the fact there are a lot of things going on below a post (printbutton, social buttons, jetpack related posts, categories, etc.), it is one messy lay-out all together (look at https://i.imgur.com/Innv4AC.png.) Is there a (simple) way to reorganize this mess?

My knowledge of WordPress is mediocre, my knowledge of Javascript is minimal, and my English is a bit rusty. So bear with me. ??

Thanks in advance for your replies, guys!

Darn. Forgot about the third question (can’t edit the original topic, so it seems)

    3. If a related post has no (thumb) image, I would like to automatically replace it with a generic image. Questions is; how and where is to be altered in the code?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

For the first 2 questions, You can customize the look of every element on your site thanks to CSS. You can add that CSS to your theme stylesheet, or to your custom CSS editor available under Appearance > Edit CSS in your dashboard.

If you’re not familiar with CSS, this little introduction should help:

    3. If a related post has no (thumb) image, I would like to automatically replace it with a generic image. Questions is; how and where is to be altered in the code?

You can follow the instructions here to deal with that issue:

    I hope this helps.
