    Yoast have one great function.
If you copy text from content editor (visual or text mode), and paste them into Meta description field, all end of line sign are removed. We have text in one line. This is great.
    There is only one problem.
Script remove new line sign, but should paste whitespace instead of them.
    Current effect:
Some text. Some text one. Some text two. Some text three.
    Should be:
Some text. Some text one. Some text two. Some text three.
It’s about dots at the end of paragraph.

We’re not exactly sure if the issue you are encountering warrants as a bug or feature request. You may want to consider using variables to define the meta description field. You can refer to this post for the available variables for use — https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/

Rather this is the bug. After paste text, new lines are removed, but after dot, should be pasted whitespace.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce the issue on our end. We have copied the text from the WordPress content editor and pasted it into the Yoast SEO meta description field and we can confirm that all the whitespaces after the period . is appearing fine on our end.

    Hi @betagoo,

The meta description cannot have new lines. This is why they automatically get removed when you copy-paste them into the snippet editor. They do not get replaced automatically with spaces.

If you need to copy-paste all of your meta descriptions from a specific file, you could use a text editor to bulk search & replace the new line with space using a REGEX syntax. A tool such as Notepad++ could do the trick, but we couldn’t provide you with further instructions.

We hope to have cleared things up for you and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions.
