Meta Description not being set

The %excerpt% variable is the default meta description used by our plugin in the Titles & Meta settings. If you have set a custom description for the pages in the meta box, then it will override the default description. If your issue is related to something else, please share some screenshots using a tool like https://imgur.com/ so we can check and assist you further.

I haven’t set any custom description for the pages in the meta box. But each page has manual excerpt. How to make Rank Math override that excerpt and use the global meta?. Wouldn’t it be easier if there was an option to override individual meta or not?, or use the global meta only for pages where the meta are not set individually?

Rank Math does allow you to set the meta description individually for your pages and other post types. To do that, please refer to this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/

With this method, it will override the global meta if the page’s meta is modified.
