    Hello,
I’ve been using FG Joomla to WordPress to migrate my site.
After a few attempts I’ve manage to make it working in the way that i like.
The only trouble is with meta description.
They are migrated in the database.
When i open old post in the editor i can see them correctly in the Yoast SEO meta description tab.
But the meta description is not showing in the front end page.
If i just click update/save the post they show.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@vigoleto We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with your site.

If you update all of the pages using the Bulk Editor tool does this resolve the issue? You can do this by performing the following steps:

? In WordPress, go to SEO>Tools
? Click on the ‘Bulk editor’ link
? Select ‘Pages’ under the content type filter
    ? Click the ‘Filter’ button
? Under the ‘Action’ column, click the ‘Save all’ link

Unfortunately ‘Save all’ doesn’t do anything.
I tried on a few post – it is if i didn’t clicked it at all.

I will try to explain better.
Lets take this post for example:
    https://forumat-bg.com/wordpress/vrazki/zabelezhnik/7471-fich-stabilni-ste-kato-predi-krizata-i-da-ne-vyarvate-svetovnite-investitori-chetat-tova-za-bg

You can see for the meta description it uses the first lines from the article.

When i open that same post in the editor the correct meta description is there:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q8FeJOgJvFfxwrrM9F9_cePjbYCZ0IV6/view?usp=sharing

If i only just click update – the meta description is saved.

I have more that 7000 articles.
If i have to open them one by one and update it will be a pain.
I will be grateful for any suggestions.

Again, thank you kindly for the help ??

@vigoleto We’re sorry to hear that didn’t resolve the issue.

You cold also try to correct this by performing a bulk edit/update on the posts. You can do this by performing the following actions:

? In WordPress, go to Posts>All Posts
? Select all the posts you want to update
(You can see more posts by going to ‘Screen Options’ and increasing the ‘Number of items per page’ setting)
? Click the ‘Bulk Actions’ menu and select ‘Edit’
? Press the ‘Apply’ button (You will then see a screen with a selection of changes you can make)
? Make a modification, such as adding a tag or changing the author
      ? Press ‘Update’

?Can you please try the aforementioned suggestions and let us know whether this resolves your issue?

This is a nice workaround and that does the trick!
I just add some tag – and Voilà.
    I can work with that.

    Just one follow-up question.
How much i can select and edit before i get “Request-URI Too Long”?
    500 posts was too much.

Thank you kindly for your help devnihil! ??

@vigoleto Unfortunately we wouldn’t be able to say how many posts you can update simultaneously before receiving the ‘Request-URI Too Long’ error. That error can depend on a number of factors such as the server environment settings, and can also be due to security plugin settings in some cases.

I post another solution that was given me by the outstanding Byron Iniotakis
in FredericGilles support center of FG Joomla to WordPress plugin.

Please take a backup of your database and Install Yoast Test Helper and in the plugin click Reset Indexables tables & Migrations.

    This generally solved the problem.
I hope it helps for someone in similar situation as was I.

Once again – thank you kindly for your support devnihil! ??
