  • When did you add this? It takes a long time for Google to pick up some of these changes. Also, Google doesn’t promise to use your meta description. Google only promises to think about it.

    … that give me the impression that this is your meta description, at least the first part is. The meta description isn’t very long, so Google must be appending part of your post content.

    I added it last night, the seo was added before the post was published, yes the first part of that description is indeed what I wrote for the description.

    I’m going to publish a similar one with a longer description and see how it handles that, its just been doing that for some time and my site views have been decreasing possibly as a result.

    I can’t remember the exact value off the top of my head but Google displays about 150-160 characters in that field. That is the target length you want.

    Thank you, I’m looking into it now. Just making a few posts with jumble on it, to see if I can get it sorted.
