  • Hi @madloki,

Can you let me know what is buggy? What isn’t working as expected? Can you elaborate with a step by step guide for me to follow so I can understand what’s buggy? It’s hard for us to fix something that’s described only as being buggy ??

Maybe also add some screenshots if you think that helps.

    Thanks!

It cut signs, copy and paste from another article doesn’t work. Downgrade to 7.6.1 fix this for the moment. Hope that will help you ??

I don’t know what theme you are using, but I am using Divi. The latest Divi and the latest Yoast are just not compatible right now. I can’t type S, H, O, P, copy, or paste in the Yoast meta inputs right now.

How can I revert back to the previous yoast? Is there a place to get old versions?

I’m also using Divi and I have the same issue as wpfannumber1 with S, H, O… When I try to type an o the window for divi builder settings opens. I just installed yoast a couple of hours ago.

My words man ?? MH TravelMag 1.1.3 from MH Themes.

Click here and scroll down to the bottom: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-seo/advanced/

I ended up searching and finding out how to do it. I didn’t know you could click advanced view in the repo to access old versions. I just downloaded 7.6.1 and used FTP to rewrite the newest version. Everything is back to normal now. I did see in another support post below this one that another person put in for this issue. Yoast support recognized the issue and said they started a github support for their devs and they reached out to Elegant themes.

@karin9nona and @wpfannumber1 Sorry about that. The issue with Divi is known and we have an open issue for it on GitHub here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/10152

We’ve also reached out to Divi to work on a fix together, so please hang in there. Any updates will be communicated in the issue I mentioned.

@madloki are you trying to copy/paste variables or plain text? When does it cut signs and what signs are you using?

We would require some screenshots in order to fully understand the issue you’re facing so we can help advise any further.

You can refer here if you want to have access to older versions of the plugin — https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-seo/advanced/

There is NOTHING solved!!!! Not okay, to change this without fix the bug!

    Look at this: https://abload.de/img/zwischenablage01p8ss5.jpg

It doesn’t work, again and again there come more advertises combinated with more bugs. Downgrade the third ??

    Hi @madloki,

What’s not working? In the screenshot, I can’t see anything out of the ordinary (sorry). If you can let me know what exactly isn’t working, we might be able to help or at least create an issue on GitHub.

Also, it might be a plugin conflict (click here for a useful guide). You can check yourself by disabling all plugins, change your theme to Twenty Seventeen and check if the issue still exists. You can use the health check plugin to help troubleshoot on a live site.

    Let me know! ??

Is there anyone reading? :-/ With copy and paste he cut a lot of signs, only ~70 will paste. With 7.6.1 it works fine. After 7.7: buggy.

    @madloki,

When I try to copy/paste plain text, I can’t reproduce the issue. I took another look at the screenshot you shared and I’m guessing it’s specific to the emoji in your snippet description. We have an open issue for that here with an explanation why this happened: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/10193#issuecomment-401291494

This issue should be resolved in Yoast SEO 7.7.3, which has just been released ?? can you please test and let me know if my assumption is correct?

Hopefully, that helps and my apologies for not understanding sooner!
