Meta info on AMP post is wrong if a static home page is set

  • Hi,

    I am writing about an issue relating to meta title/ description being pulled from the wrong place.

    Basically, if I set my site to use a ‘static home page’ then the meta info displayed is totally wrong on every blog post. Rather than display the actual meta info as normal on each post, the post uses the homepage meta title and description instead, on every blog post.

    I went over this issue for hours trying to figure it out, but I worked that this is what is causing the issue. If I set a static home page, the meta info on AMP pages goes sideways. If it’s set to ‘latest blog posts’ then all is well, except the only meta info displayed in this case, is the Open Graph for FB and Twitter.

    I also sent this message to the ‘report a bug’ portal, but I wasn’t sure what the quickest way to get a response would be so I posted here too. Forgive me if this was not the right thing to do. The login details for my site are in that message, but I can give them to you again if needed.

    I’m running Genesis, Atmosphere Pro theme.

    I think if i use Meta Tags from Yoast
    and
    Yoast Description in ld+jsonAdds

    I’ll have meta description from yoast on amp post, but no, i have just homepage description for all.
    Then i activate meta description from amp, and it’s work.

    Guys I have tried this with the latest code that I have and also with the code in the update, It seems that this code is working as expected both when front page has latest posts and also when front page has a static page set, Please have a look at the video and lemme know if I have missed anything https://take.ms/IygJ0
