Meta information not working with Yoast SEO

  • Hi there,

    I have noticed that the meta titles/descriptions etc are not working with Yoast SEO.

    Looking into it briefly at why this might be it could be caused by the custom post type not being public.

    Could you tell me if the Events custom post type that the plugin creates is Public? And if it is, why it may not be working with Yoast SEO plugin when this is working with other custom post types manually set by myself on the site?

    Hi,

    Yes, the event post type is public by default. I’m not familiar with how Yoast’s SEO plug-in works, and I can think of any reason why it wouldn’t work for events if it otherwise works with custom post types.

    You change any of the properties of the post type (i.e. the arguments passed to register_post_type() in case you think there is a particular setting that’s preventing it from working: eventorganiser_event_properties
