    Hello,

I read that you should only use lowercase letters and not capitalize letters for meta keys (for custom meta fields). I need to set up several custom fields for products and would like to use capitalized meta keys – is this a problem? Could any errors occur when doing so?

Normally meta keys are lowercase letters and making it capitalize letters might not work but feel free to test it with capitalize letters and let us know if that works. ??

@tibetanitech Well, I have tested it and it works, but I am not sure if there might be problems in the future with anything – for example, if I want to use the custom fields for filtering, searching etc…

    Hey @andi0tx,

The custom meta fields are actually not a feature of WooCommerce but a feature of the WordPress core software itself related to custom post types. I’d suggest researching whether using Capitalization within those would possibly cause any issues.

If you’re not sure only use lowercase for your meta keys as that’s usually the standard that is followed when creating this in WordPress.
