Hi, I have this unusual issue with Yoast that never occurred before, when there is no meta section data loaded in page/post edit – plase see image. It is custom built theme that is also used for a subdomain site talks.ericasosna.com where Yoast works perfectly. I checked header/footer php calls, switched my php version to 7.0, deactivated theme and all plugins, activated TwentySeventeen, rolled back Yoast plugin to an older version (downloaded from GitHub), but nothing works

UPDATE: I develop using Local by Flywheel, so I just installed Yoast on local version my WP site and the plugin works well. So it must be on the provider/server side.If you have any suggestions what I should be looking for, it will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Bojan

ps. Site otherwise works without flaws

If you’ve already performed a conflict check and the issue is still occurring, can you also check for JavaScript errors with your console and let us know the result?

Can you confirm these errors appear with WordPress 4.9.8, Yoast SEO for WordPress 8.3, and your custom theme? If you were to switch to a default theme like TwentySeventeen, does the Yoast SEO meta box load as expected and that the errors go away?

If so, then that would mean you have a conflict with the theme. We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new issue for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You will need an account to create a new issue. If this is your first bug report, please check out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/.

Don’t forget to include the URL to this conversation in your bug report.

    Hi Michael

unfortunately, not yet resolved. I was out with business and planned to follow up over the weekend, if possible. Sorry for delay, but please give me a couple of days

    Thanks

Still the same problem with new update YOAST 8.4

This is definitely plugin issue. The custom theme which I am used when first detected the issue is the same I used to update the blog design for my client (same client in both instances). When I first uploaded the theme all was fine, Yoast was working. However, it was on 6.4 version and I updated the plugin and immediately after the update the problem (re)appeared….

I disabled other plugins to check conflict and I found the cause: WP Log Viewer
