Great plugin! So far the only plugin of this kind I tested, which actually works with all themes I use. And I tested at least 3 other plugins…

One thing it seems to miss though, are the meta tags, like for example generated by the Yoast seo plugin. It seems to completely strip them away. It would be great if it could preserve these.

  • Hi tjachmann! I’m glad you’re liking the plugin. I too had the same issue where I tried other plugins but ran into issues with each of them. That’s why I created Simply Static.

Sorry you’re having trouble with the Yoast meta tags. I’ll take a look and see if I can get those preserved for you. Thanks for reporting this issue!

Hi, the problem with meta tags generated by the plugin “Yoast SEO plugin” has been resolved?

This is very important for all of us, a bad seo penalizes the excellent work of “Simply Static”

Please “Scott at the Code of Conduct” to solve the problem of meta tags generated by the plugin “Yoast SEO plugin”

I just finished testing on a local copy with “Simply Static” and “Yoast SEO plugin”

Successful! All meta tags created with “Yoast SEO plugin” are all present and perfectly worked in static copies, including “open graph for facebook” and “twitter cards”

This is really great for seo, compliments to the Developer of “Simply Static”

    Hi DavideWebCenter,

I’m glad that using Simply Static along with Yoast SEO plugin is working for you! I still haven’t had a chance to take a look into this.

I’m not aware of anything that would be stripping out this tags, so it seems like it should be working, but clearly tjachmann was having an issue with it somewhere. Still on my todo list to take a look in the future.

FYI, I went back and tested this with the Yoast SEO plugin and I couldn’t find a case where it was stripping out the meta tags. They all seem to be there.

    Scott
