meta title and description

Hello,
I have used the free version of SEO yoast, and I have configure it with my WordPress webiste.
I have changed my meta title and description, but when search it using google the changes did not appear. I have tried submit my website for Google to re-index it, but it still did not work.
I did ask the themes author, but they have not provide any answer.
