I changed the meta title for a website many months ago but the changes have not updated.

It was previously “Superior Lifts | Maintenance, Repairs, Modernisations and Installations” but has been changed to”Superior Lifts | Maintenance, Repairs, Modernisation and Installation” – (Note the ‘s’ has been deleted from the end of Modernisation and Installation).

As per the solutions on other posts, I have installed the Yoast Test Helper plugin, clicked on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons, and then done the SEO data optimization. However, nothing seems to have changed and the title tag is still showing the old title.

Can anyone please advise what else I can try?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @mallo82

Thanks for reaching out about your SEO title.

First, please update Yoast SEO v17.5 to 19.14

Currently, the title is: <title>Superior Lifts | Maintenance, Repairs, Modernisations and Installations</title>

Please share a screenshot of the SEO title field in the Yoast SEO metabox when you go in to edit the homepage.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your reply! I have done the updates.

I didn’t realise there was a section for Yoast SEO when editing each specific page as I always just use the Elementor editor. I thought the SEO settings were determined from just the settings in Yoast SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types.

The SEO title field in the Yoast SEO metabox on the homepage editing screen was still showing the old title, so I have now changed that and I’ll wait to see if it updates on Google in a few days or so.
