Meta titles are not being displayed in AMP posts

  • Hello there,

    I am using AMP together with RankMath and the Newspaper theme. I had been using the AMP without any issues but recently meta titles on AMP posts stopped appearing, even though I did not make any changes. I searched for this specific issue on google and here as well and tried all possible fixes (deactivating/removing amp plugin and setting up again, also deactivating AMP support on the RankMath dashboard) but it did not help. When I disable AMP on the RankMath dashboard then I get back the titles on AMP posts but then meta descriptions are disappearing. Also tried enabling the Rewrite Titles option in Rank Math Dashboard, but this did not help too.

    I use the AMP Legacy theme, so I tried switching it to other themes and it turns out that I do not have this issue with other themes.

    I would appreciate it if you could check and help me with fixing this.

    Thanks for opening a support topic and providing thorough details of the issue you’re encountering. I’ve been unable to recreate the same experience from my side with various Newspaper and Rank Math configurations. For this reason I suspect something may have gone wrong with your Rank Math setup or there may be conflicting configurations with other plugins.

    Firstly can you try and go through the RankMath setup wizard one more if not already done?

    If the same occurs please share your Site Health information privately via this form so I can inspect your current setup.

    I have tried the RankMath setup wizard but still the same. I am going to provide Site Health info via the link you have shared.

    Thanks for sharing. While enabling the TagDiv mobile theme via the plugin will result in switching your site to transitional mode does can you please temporarily do so? There seems to be some configuration with your theme and Rank Math, in particular as this isn’t appearing with other themes.

    Once you activate the TagDiv module theme ensure you have AMP & Mobile selected in your Newspaper themes panel. I can then check your site once more.

    yes, I confirm that enabling the TagDiv mobile plugin fixes the issue. But I do not want to use TagDiv mobile plugin for some reasons. Could you please report this to your team to check? As I was using AMP without any issues and without TagDiv mobile plugin before.

    Unfortunately the issue seems specific to the TagDiv AMP templates. Have you tried following up with the TagDiv team?
