    Hi,

I have placed the booking.com widget in Portfolio Pages, the widget works fine, but there is no “Booking.com Search Box Destination” to select a location, like in Pages and Posts.

    Thanks

    HI,

I don’t understand your question. Are there many portfolios? I am using Avada theme for my website, if that helps. Feel free to contact me at [email protected], I will send you screenshots if you want.

    Thanks

Hi, well, there are different portfolios for sure.

Portfolio is too generic, that’s why we asked for more information.

Different themes comes with different ones, there are plugin which enables portfolios etc…

WordPress default installation does not come with a portfolio section.

We cannot test any specific theme, but we’ll see what with can do checking on other free theme if available.

Thanks for contacting us, we’ll come back asap !

    Hi,

Problem solved by adding the post type (“avada_portfolio” in my case) at the following file:
    bookingcom-official-searchbox/includes/bos_meta_boxes.php

    Thanks

    Just one question,

adding avada_portfolio in the specific Custom field in search box setting did not work ?

    Hi,

avada_portfolio is for websites with the Avada Theme installed. This is what I have added in the file mentioned above to see the metabox in portfolio pages.

    $default_post_types = array(
    ‘post’,
    ‘page’, ‘avada_portfolio’
    );

Ok, but this is exactly what the

“Enable meta boxes for these Custom Post Type ( use the slug )” field should do.

    Have you tried ?

    Thanks for your feedback psychis!

    Hi,

Can you explain more as to what I could have tried? In which file could I have added that?

    Thanks

    Hi,

you can find this field in search box settings:
basically on WP right hand menu, click on Settings –> Booking.com Search Box

a settings page will show up.

Open the “Preset destination” menu and fill the field with avada_portfolio ( after you have deleted the line you’ve added to bos_meta_boxes.php ).

    Hope this helps,

    cheers
