    Hi,

I have filled in Yoast meta titles, and descriptions for each page on the site. The page doesn’t output the custom titles and descriptions I inputted.

There are no known plugins that are interacting. We use a suite of plugins for other sites and they don’t cause this issue with Yoast. I have followed https://yoast.com/help/my-meta-descriptions-arent-showing-up-in-the-search-result-pages/ and it doesn’t appear to be Google cache (tested via search console live index), it doesn’t even show in the source code.

I save the changes once Yoast was edited and clear website caches too.

Any ideas what this may be caused by?

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We checked https://www.flowtronix.co.uk/; the title in the page source is:

    <title>Liquid Filling Machine Specialists | Flow Tronix</title>

while the meta description is not outputted.

Can you please share a screenshot of what you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin as the title and meta description for that page?

    Hi, yes

    Hi @adamlewis1233,

Thanks for the screenshots. We’re seeing that the title and description are different than what’s being generated by Yoast SEO, so we’d like to get more information:

    1. Does clearing your cache from caching plugins, the server, a CDN like Cloudflare, or the browser resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear the cache from a plugin, please contact the plugin author. If you’d like to clear the cache from the server, please speak to your host provider.

    2. There may be a conflict with another plugin or theme on your site. Please Check for conflicts by temporarily deactivating all plugins except for Yoast SEO and switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One.

Are you able to find the correct title and description in the page source? We have a guide to check the page source here: How to view the page source of your site.
