    I just received notice that there’s an issue with the MetaSlider plugin. “An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 1500 of the file /home/nfcf/public_html/2020/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/ml-slider.php. Error message: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 131072 bytes)”.

    Any suggestion on fixing this?

  • Hi,

    We didn’t receive similar complaints since the last update. So, possibly a conflict with another plugin or a theme causes this issue.

    Does this issue happen when only MetaSlider and the Twenty twenty One theme are active?

    I’m using Elementor page builder. The site’s been running fine for months and no updates have been made to the site in the last couple of days.

    Some more info: it appears to be functioning on the front end, but I’m forced to use recovery mode to access the admin. I’m having a similar issue with one other plugin: LoginPress. They both fired errors around the same time.

    Is there a connection and possible fix?

    That’s about 40mb of memory. I would contact your host about allocating more memory. For some perspective, a $5 VPS server gives you 8GB of memory.

    Also try adding this to your wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

    I’ll give that a try. Thanks for the quick response!
