    Hi Schalk, I haven’t used the WooThemes slideshow, but I had thought it was a separate plugin, is that not the case, this is built into the theme?

    I’m pretty sure WooThemes is using the same slide post type as Meteor Slides, so they aren’t compatible, you would have to use one or the other. I don’t have the Canvas theme, but if you would like to send me a login for your site, I could take a look and see if there is a simple way to deactivate the built in slider so you can use Meteor Slides.

    Hi,

    I sent you admin access.

    WooThemes have their own slider plugin, called wooslider, but most of their themes have a slider already builtin.

    In the pass, I managed through help to get both sliders to display separately in the admin by renaming the build in slider to Woo Slide: https://cl.ly/66OE
    and this is what I had to do: https://cl.ly/2a2j0q02281f1z2f162y

    In the case of this website: ilovesam.co.za i don’t mind if the builtin woo canvas slider is completely removed, but it needs to be upgrade proof….

    Then again, I often want to use both the builtin and meteor slider in other projects ( I only use woothemes ) Is there a permament fix for this?

    Many thanx

    Hi Josh,

    Please have a look at this screenshot;
    When one click on the settings for Meteor, I get a error page…

    Many thanks

    I really wouldn’t try to use these together since they both use the same custom post type. In general I would stick with one slideshow function on a site, this will be more efficient and load less files.

    If you only use Woo Themes, it might be a good idea to use their slider since it’s built to integrate into their themes.

    You’re getting that permissions error because you have Members plugin active, Meteor Slides has support for Members built in:
