Whenever I hit the Connect Button “Klicken zum Verbinden” (in Produktion Mode), I have to enter my credentials, all looks fine, but in the end an error pops up: Method not implemented.

    Hi @floristweb

Typically when there is an issue with the connection process, there is a 3rd party plugin that’s interfering with the WordPress REST API. In your case, I would recommend manually connecting your PayPal business account.

Here is a link to our docs which show how to manually connect. https://docs.paymentplugins.com/wc-paypal/config/#/connect?id=manually-connect

Hi – thank you for that. I did get the connection to work but now I cannot place an order (paying via paypal) as there is an error message “Authorization failed due to insufficient permissions.”

What can this be? I have tried in different browsers, without being logged into PayPal before clicking (which is the most usual case for our clients). The PayPal Popup shows up fine. After a short wait, it disappears and the error message shows.

I have googled and found out that other users were able to solve this by creating a new app. I did that and connected the new app – same problem on checkout via PayPal, though.

    Can you help again?

    Hi @floristweb

It sounds like when you’re creating your app within PayPal you aren’t assigning all of the necessary permissions.

If you go to the WooCommerce > Status > Logs page check the wc-ppcp log file. Does it specify which permission(s) is missing?

    Hi PP!

I have the file but I am afraid I don’t find any specifications in there.

But thank you for your hint on the App settings. I activated all available checkboxes – and now it works. I can pay via PayPal.

Still not 100% sure if I can avoid this problem in the future (with other websites) – but good for now.

    Thanks again!

If you’re able I would recommend testing with just WooCommerce and the PayPal plugin active. You can work your way through your plugins by activating them one by one until the method not implemented error occurs. That will tell you which plugin is causing that conflict.

    Kind Regards,
