    Hi,

    As it seems the old “Microformats 2” plugin is not maintained anymore (doesn’t seem to work nice with the Twenty Twenty-Three theme anyway), I started testing the MF2 Feeds plugin instead.

    It generates these alternate links for posts (from a post used as an example)

    <link rel="alternate" type="application/mf2+json"  />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/jf2+json"  />

    But, when I try to access either /feed/mf2/ or /feed/jf2/ for this post, I’m redirected to

    /?pk_campaign=feed&pk_kwd=international-coffee-day-with-osibisa

    After checking thoroughly, it appeared that an option in Yoast SEO is the culprit.

    The option in “Crawl optimization”, to Remove global comment feeds, part of “Disable unwanted content formats“ is the cause (and this one only it appears).

    But the MF2/JF2 feeds are not disabled per se, as probably “non standard”, but redirected to the post as if it was retrieved from the global feed? That’s a strange behavior…

    I disabled all options, as I’m doing many other tests at the moment…

    Sincerely
    DJM

    PS: these special JSON feeds are (and will be more and more) used to discover Microformats2 data via IndieWeb solutions. They should not be tempered with in any case…

    Hello @didierjm

    Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

    WordPress outputs your content in different formats across different URLs (like RSS feeds of your posts and categories). Disabling the formats you’re not actively using is generally good practice.

    However, it’s not cast in stone. So if removing global comment feeds affects JSON feeds, you can leave it ON. We do not recommend that users tamper with any settings under the Crawl optimization until they have read what each does and its implications. You can learn more about crawl settings.

    @maybellyne Your reply is kinda insulting to me… “You stoopid user, why don’t you read the small lines”. [I do & did read the small lines…]

    OK, I understand your point: you don’t care… it’s all my fault…

    PS: when posting, I knew the answer would be this one. Less insulting though…
