MH Custom Posts – Use smaller files for small thumbnails

    Hi,

    (using MH Magazine (NOT lite))

    when using the MH Custom Posts Widget one can show excerpt for the first article only. All other articles get a very small thumbnail then. Those are also seperated in the options “show only big/small thumbnails”.

    Hence it should be possible that the small thumbnails use smaller file versions? WordPress does generate a small version of the images as well.

    On our page the situation as it is now means that we have 20 images on our homepage which are scaled from 800×443 pixels to 80×44 pixels. That of course means a lot of extra data traffic cause the big files are loaded to show the tiny thumbs.

    Any change to get that fixed?

    Ok,

    I see!

    It was cause the images where uploaded with the old theme.

    I also found the function mh_magazine_image_sizes.

    Think that will solve all my issues!

    Hi justillon,

    the small thumbnails of course will be served with small images accordingly. You just need to regenerate thumbnails to ensure that WordPress uses the correct thumbnails after a theme change. This is stated in the theme documentation as well.

    However, please notice that you’re using a premium theme and premium themes are not supported on www.ads-software.com.
