MH Magazine lite 2.6.2 video tutorial

thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

I have seen the video for the premium version, the premium version video cannot be used for free version.

Actually the video can be used because the basic configuration for the free and premium theme is quite the same. You can find the necessary information and instructions in the theme documentation.

Basically you just need to create and set a static front page, assign the widgetized Homepage template to your static front page and then you can place widgets on your front page into the Home widget areas as you like.

I cannot customize the home slider for the free version.

We’re not sure what you mean with that. But as mentioned above, just create and set your static front page correctly and then place the slider widget into the Home 1 or Home 2 widget area as you like. Where on earth are the images in MH Magazine lite 2.6.2? Which widget controls the images? The images are not displaying. The images for the home page are not showing. The slider images are not showing too.

As with most magazine WordPress themes nowadays, you need to set featured images for your posts: How to set featured images in WordPress.

It would be highly recommended that you take some time to check the information in the theme documentation as it usually contains all you need. There is lots of information about images and recommended image dimensions as well.

Good day. My images are showing up everywhere. My first widget is “MH Slider Widget (Lite)” I made the “Post Count” to be 4. After making the 4 posts, the slider showed the 4 posts. I was pleased with that.

The second widget is “MH Post Large” (Lite) I also made the “Post Count” to be 4. I titled it “Latest News”. After making another post, it showed up under the Latest News which is MH Post Large” (Lite) and also showed up in my slider and in other columns titles on the homepage. How do I do it that the next post does not show up in slider anymore but show up in the next title which “Feature News” controlled by “MH Post Large” (Lite).

For most of the custom widgets there is a “Skip Posts” option. That means you can filter posts based on categories or tags and you can skip a certain number of posts in the query.

For example you can use the “Skip Posts” option within the widget and skip 4 posts in the query. That way the widget will start displaying the 5th post in the loop and the first 4 posts won’t be shown in the widget anymore.
