“MichaelH” Moderator… please, what goes in .htaccess?

Hi,

I’m having trouble with displaying posts with the Permalink set to Custom: %postname%…

Could it be a fault with my .htaccess file? I copied and pasted the snippet of code (bottom of the Permalinks page) into a Notepad file and saved it as .htaccess, which showed as .htaccess.txt

Should there be anything else in the file? Is there some actioning code that I haven’t got (all I have is the Permalink code pasted in and saved).
