microdata: breadcrumbs

    Can you add the @id identifier to your BreadcrumbList microdata type?

    Now there is no id and this microdata cannot be accessed from other parts of the page.

    For example, to place yours BreadcrumbList microdata inside my WebPage microdata.

    Hello!

    Ever since Google stopped requiring it, we removed the @id tag because it caused too many conflicts with supplementary metadata. With it removed, Google assumes that the canonical URL is the identifier for the page.

    I’m unsure why you need to target a specific subset of structured data; could you elaborate on the goal and what you mean by “placing it inside”? Most implementations combine all the data and then try to make sense of the whole, often with a descending order of significance.

    TSF will support the WebPage Schema.org microdata from the next update, including a revised BreadcrumbList. We’ll add the @id tag whenever necessary and make the identifier unique when not confused by Google for the URL.

    ummm…
    A new version has been released, but @id’s support in BreadcrumbList still not there.

    i still can’t associate BreadcrumbList with the webPage

    Hello!

    I released an update for Extension Manager two days ago. The major update for The SEO Framework is still pending — ETA hopefully within three weeks.

    Please note that the visual breadcrumbs (via the shortcode) are still in their early phases and may not include everything I’ve planned for them. When the time comes, feedback is welcome!
