We add all the necessary metadata that Google needs for those rich snippets to show up, but they still decide for themselves wether or not to do that for your website. It takes time.

You can test the metadata over here to make sure there are no errors: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool

The this is that I use firebug to inspect the recipe code and I don’t see any metadata in there. Can you point to me where it is ?Thanks

Did you try the testing tool? You should see it then.

If you’re using JSON-LD metadata (the default) it will be a <script> tag right before the main wpurp-container <div>. You can change to inline metadata on the Recipes > Settings > Recipe Template > Recipe Box page.

I did not yet, but I don’t see any itemtype=”https://schema.org any itemprop nothing on the code.

    1. How come?
    2. Do you have an example of a website which uses this plugin and still if I search in google I will see the recipe directly on the google search page?

JSON-LD is different from inline metadata and won’t show up with itemtype attributes. Just test it and you’ll see that it’s there.

If you search for “pasta pesto site:wpultimaterecipe.com” you should see an example straight from our demo website.
