Microformats in themes – how do they work?

  • Can anyone give me a brief explanation how exactly do I properly use microformats in themes that support it? I’m aware of the benefits of using microdata, so I started to look for themes that support it, but whichever one I try, I can’t seem to find any info on how to properly use it.

    For instance this one, Lugada.

    Besides microformats being mentioned in the description of the theme, I can’t find anything else related to it. I expected maybe custom fields regarding date, address etc., but nothing.

    What am I missing?
