Microsoft Word shapes and blogs

I would like to enter in a banner shape into the blog from Word shapes. When I paste it in or or use the ‘paste from Word’ button, the banner appears as a dotted line text box with the wording in different font/format. Is there a way to enter the shapes into the post?
