Mid-Media Bulk Upload Error “Could not insert attachment into the database.”
-
This is driving me absolutely insane. I am in the initial setup of my WordPress + Woocommerce Store. I attempted to add approx 20x .PNG images in a batch upload, it uploaded approximately 5 of them correctly and then spat out the error “Could not insert attachment into the database.” for the rest. The files are approx 100-200kb each.
I have tried:
– Deactivating all plugins
– Uploading one by one
– Renaming files
– Changing to .JPG
– Changing theme
– Checking space availability on host (Siteground – 9.0gb free)
– Resetting folder permissions, manually changing folder permissionsNothing is working, all resulting in the same error message “Could not insert attachment into the database.”. The curious thing is, it looks like on my host it’s adding the image files to the wp-content/uploads/2020/12 folder however it’s just not adding to the media library anymore.
Being that this came out of the blue, mid bulk upload where some worked, really confuses me.
Bit of a side story that might help – All of yesterday, I was having issues with something automatically compressing my product images upon upload. I found that to be the SG Optimizer plugin which I ended up turning off the new media optimization setting. All was fine and I was uploading images today, just after the bulk upload it errored and hasn’t fixed.
Please help
