    Why ANSI encoded files?
All files are encoded in ANSI, I’m Hungarian, it’s a pretty big problem …
Now, each supervisor to encode the files that should not get an error message from head piece?
Even with UTF-8 3.5.2 is encoded in the file, the newer versions why not?

  • Files in a file system do not have any particular encoding. They are just byte streams. Some formats, like HTML, can declare an encoding inside the file, but this is unusual. WordPress seems to declare the HTML charset as UTF-8 by default.

I agree with you that it is sometimes useful to convert a file to UTF-8, but only sometimes. I do not understand why it is a big problem. Which files are causing the problem?
