• First the product seems pretty easy to use. If you want to use paypal in the free tier, they route the transactions through their own paypal account and take a 2% cut it. When I was testing this plugin out using paypal, I never saw the money actually hit my paypal account even tho the logs in the plugin show it was a successful transaction. Also since I was using the free tier, they dont provide support at all. I did open a ticket via sales trying to find out where my money went and just got an automated email saying to open a ticket using the license key I purchased. You have no outlet to raise problems billing problem when it seems they will happily steal your money

I would say this was a successful test of working with this company in that I now know that they love the bureaucracy.

Hello, sorry you had a bad experience… Our free edition does use Square, Stripe, and PayPal and run through a connect system for payments, we try to state this very clearly on all our pricing pages and sign-ups when you utilize those systems in the free edition. Sorry it was unclear.

Many of our customers use the system as even catalog systems for their wordpress, not even implementing payment gateways, or utilize a bill/invoice system which doesn’t have any process fees either.

For technical support, we do require full licenses… gotta get paid to develop and support somehow ?? If you do have any issues, jump on chat with us, we would gladly help answer any questions you may have about our product.

Its not that I didn’t now about the 2%, or that I’m opposed to paying developers as I’m one also. The problem (which I can only assume you never actually read) was that the money never made it into my paypal account and you don’t offer a straight forward way to settle this problem. If you are going to act as a proxy and skim 2%/transaction you need to offer support for when transaction problems occur. Im my eyes this is theft, or at the very least wilful negligence.

If the free version is a way to attract new paying customers which I was willing to become, your bureaucracy turned me away.

I’d be happy to help with this, just jump over to https://www.wpeasycart.com and jump on chat with us some time… We usually provide pretty good support, even to our free users with chat and get solutions pretty quick. Most of our past reviews here are solid 5 stars and comment on our support.

We try to be responsive and quick, maybe we just got a communication mix-up and sent you a robot response asking to submit support… it happens… but if any free user is having issues, we certainly try to help out.
