Migrate Entire Business Directory & Related Settings to Site Rebuild?

We’re doing a complete site rebuild for a moderately sized client. Both the old site and the new are running off WP, and we have Business Directory running on both sites.

We are trying to determine what is the quickest and most reliable method to moving the Business Directory contents and settings from the old site to the new. The client is hosting about 700 listings with several custom fields set up. So it’s not just a CSV import of the contents we’re looking to do. We essentially want to pick up everything – custom fields, settings, options and contents and move them all over as one unit, possibly via database tables if that’s possible. In theory this would go faster than recreating the individual custom fields and settings and going through the trial-and-error of importing and testing all the listings.

Is it possible, has anyone done this, how well did it work and what issues did you run into? If it is possible, can you provide reasonable instructions?
