Hi. Has anybody managed to do this? I can’t begin to tell you how much I HATE s2member.

Poor support, slow and when they do reply, most of the time its to say they wont help!
In my case it was related to CSV member import/export, they told me “we dont support excel”
and many similar BS replies saying “we don’t support that”.

Bad attitude from the developer. He refused a refund when took me weeks to get plugin working as it has a stupid different .htaccess setting to every other WP plugin, support could never even get to the bottom of it…. after 30 days “no refunds.” pfft. My dite is also seasonal so I didn’t even know there was a problem until after 30 days, when customer started using my site and reporting bugs.
It is way too over complicated.
It occasionally blocks my members from logging in for no reason (despite I have relaxed the restriction settings a LOT).
I wasted money on pro version.
I could go on. I HATE IT.

I’m desperate for another paid members plugin but I have subscribers already “level 1” instead of free subscriber etc, so wondering if anyone has managed the changeover?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I am sorry for all the inconvenience that you went through and also for how you feel about s2member plugin. I understand your feelings but you need to know that this things happen. There are cases when plugins/add-ons don’t work well or they are incompatible with other plugins/themes/server. I know that their support team/developers are doing their best to improve the plugin.

Now regarding your request, it will not work out of the box. It involves custom code and for now we don’t have a migration tool. Also you have to take in consideration the Recurring Payments in case you use this feature. Recurring Payments are available only in the Pro version of PMS.

I hope you will find a way to fix this issue.

    Best regards,
