This post is for wordpress staff, from what I’m reading they can migrate followers from my [name].wordpress.com site to my own externally hosted site running wordpress software. I have “jetpack” installed, what else do I need?

Please do so if you can:

    old site: michaelschicagoyoga.wordpress.com
    new site: michaelpalermo.com

    Thanks,

The blog I need help with is https://www.michaelpalermo.com.

  • You need to ask the WordPress.COM people to do that for you – just post the same thing on their forum.

BTW, there is no staff on www.ads-software.com – everyone here is a volunteer.

Thanks WP yogi (my site is a yoga site FYI ??

the .COM site gave me an automated message that I have to post it here not there. Not sure if it’s going to ignore my post or allow it to be seen by someone.

Thanks for the 411 on the staff thing, I didn’t know that, new to the .org thing.

That’s an automated reply if you post from a non-WP.COM site – it’s not relevant. Someone WILL tag that for staff to do for you. Cool site, BTW. I’m a Bikram fan though I’ve been a bit out of practice lately.

I tried Bikram once. Once. It almost gave me a heart attack.

Thanks for the info and the kudos on the site, I just migrated it over and am feeling out the differences in what I can and can’t do.

    Once.

Yeah, it’s definitely “challenging” – LOL! Which can be a plus or minus, depending on your perspective :).

Whatever works for you is my approach.

Welcome to .ORG – you’ll find you have WAY more options now!

Hi. Last resort here (also for a migrated yoga blog). I’ve asked wordpress.com twice to migrate my followers and I haven’t heard a thing, or gotten the supporters migrated. It’s been over a month.

(It’s from a .org to .org migration, but the followers were through the wordpress.com jetpack and visible through my wordpress.com account.)

    Any other way??

    Thanks.
