Migrate WordPress from server to WordPress.com?

  • I currently have my blog hosted on a GoDaddy server I’m paying for on a monthly payment plan. Due to financial issues (Google Adsense not living up to its reputation) I think it would make more sense to continue paying for the domain name but drop the hosting. Is there any easy way to migrate my blog in its current state (theme, posts and all) over to WordPress.com free hosting?

  • Theme probably not unless it’s in the list at wordpress.com, posts and comements yes. In the manage section of your dashboard there should be an export button, then you can just import at wordpress.com.
