As the title says, I’ve migrated our website and database from CentOS 6 & PHP 5.2 to CentOS 7 & PHP 7.2.

At first I had the front page and the backend, but no products. I assumed it might be a PHP or system compatibility issue with the old Jigoshop, so I updated Jigoshop to the new Jigoshop eCommerce. It’s now very slow to open and I can see the website logo and that is it, I can no longer access the back end either.

When I turn on debug I get three lines:

    **********************************************

Notice: register_sidebar_widget is deprecated since version 2.8.0! Use wp_register_sidebar_widget() instead. in /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3840

Notice: register_widget_control is deprecated since version 2.8.0! Use wp_register_widget_control() instead. in /var/www/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3840

Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/companyname/functions.php on line 420

    **********************************************

I think I have confused the issue by upgrading to Jigoshop eCommerce. Any ideas on what I can do to get the pages and products to show?

  • Hi
First of all – I have no idea how you managed to have Jigoshop 1.x set-up on a PHP 5.2. Which version of Jigoshop 1.x were you using?
Secondly – the above three lines of logs are not really connected to the issue and it’s hard to say what went wrong. Please contact us at [email protected], so that we can investigate this issue.

We currently have a CentOS 6.8 machine running Jigoshop 1.18, PHP 5.6.25 and WordPress 4.9.6. According to my notes I originally installed it with PHP 5.2.17, which was the latest at the time. It looks like it has either automatically updated or the web developer has done this.

That version of the website is live and in production, so we are in a good place, but when I make a copy of the WWW folder & SQL database, and put it onto the new CentOS 7.2 machine I’ve just built with PHP 7.2.7, all I see are white pages for the products. When I migrate to Jigoshop eCommerce it just gives me white pages for everything.
