Migrating 2FA to WordFence Security

    Hello, we actually have installed Wordfence Login Security plugin and wanted to install Wordfence Security – Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security plugin.

    We need to know if the actual 2FA config we have on users will be migrated when deactivating the Wordfence Login Security plugin and enabling Wordfence Security – Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security plugin.

    Or maybe is there an export/import possibility.

    Hi @danidub,

    Thank you for reaching out. Wordfence Login Security and the main Wordfence Security plugin share tables for the login security settings. You should have no issues installing and activating Wordfence Security and all configuration and settings from Wordfence Login Security will automatically migrate.

    If you’d like to create backups just in case, you can back up the database tables wfls_2fa_secrets, wfls_settings, and wfls_role_counts.

    Hi @wfmargaret,

    Just installing and activating the main Wordfence Security plugin while the Wordfence Login Security was enabled did the job. Then deactivated the Wordfence Login Security plugin and all settings were correctly interpreted.
