• I’m migrating a pre-existing blog into a new WP Multisite. Have followed the instructions in the Codex at “Migrating Multiple Blogs into WordPress 3.0 Multisite” and Iv’e got down to 1.8 in the contents list: Edit WordPress configuration settings for each site.

Have done this and now the two sites look similar (not identical since I’m using a different theme – but all the parts are there).

    But what next?

Do I close the old blog by erasing it from the server and then re-name the new one so it has the same name?

The Codex doesn’t say what the next step is! (Step 1.9 is “optional” and doesn’t seem relevant to my situation – and there is nothing more after that but Potential Problems.)

I’ve made a move like this once before, but I can’t remember what I did. Any advice would be welcome.

    Thanks,
    John
