Migrating from Deamhost to Dreamhost?

    I assume that the process would be identical if one were migrating a staging site at a domain hosted by DH, to its final location at a different domain, also hosted on the same DH account?

    @semoliner You probably could, but in that case, you have a lot more options.

    If you’re on DreamPress, we have a built in staging system you can use, which will push live to staging, let you do your updates, and then push from stage to live. If you’re not, you can rename domains, to ‘migrate’ as well.

    Thanks, I’m not on DreamPress, just shared hosting. It’ll be a while before the new site is ready so I’ll contact Support for the various options then. Thanks again.
