Migrating from free wordpad.org blog to my own site.

I’m brand new to wordpress and I expect this is hopelessly remedial but I didn’t find anything in my search so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction!

My club has a free wordpress blog and I want to move it to a fresh install of wordpress on our own web site.

I’ve been searching for help, but everything I’ve found has to do with migrating from a different blog altogether (movable type, etc.) or moving from one server to another. I haven’t seen any mention of the free blogs, but I think I must be searching wrong since this has to be incredibly common!
