Migrating from siteground staging to live breaks optimole links
-
Hello,
Last night I deployed our staging site using the siteground staging site tool. Everything was fine, except for an error on a plugin called BodyCommerce – it was trying to pull from an undefined variable, but that has since been fixed.
The new more pressing issue, is that I contacted Optimole support – this is what I was told about missing images:
Hi there, I've checked your website and I see that the image missing that you're referring to is not on the server. Here is the URL that Optimole uses: https://modestandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/pet-cave-jack-3.jpg As the original image doesn't exist Optimole cannot serve it either, could you please reupload that image? The Optimole should be able to pick it successfully and serve from the cloud. (maybe the image was deleted somehow during the migration)
I’m not really sure what to do here, but another weird issue going with this is that when I try to update my Global Header in the Divi theme builder, the header gives me a fatal php error and tells me it’s unable to save. Upon refreshing the site just to see what happens, I see that the logo in the menu module in the header is oversized and messing up the layout of the megamenu.
I’m not a developer and don’t know what is going on, but I have a feeling something was messed up in the php somewhere in the migration that’s affecting how optimole and my site connect. TLDR; possible caching conflict, missing or wrong links, etc
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
